Major Incident Risk Factors dashboard

The Major Incident Risk Factors dashboard helps you understand risk factors that can contribute to the occurrence of major Incidents on key Configuration Items. With these insights, you can be better prepared to handle risks and enforce corrective measures to prevent major Incidents.

The CRP Risk Factors dashboard help IT Directors handle the following business scenarios:

Review the number of major Incidents for a specific CI Class in the last 30 days
Review the occurrence of major Incidents on CIs for a particular day in the week
Review the recommendations provided for top outliers and take preventive measure to handle the risks

You can use the filters in the dashboard to analyze data related to a specific CI Class or CI.

The Major Incident Risk Factors dashboard consists of the following sections:

KPIs:
- Major Incidents: Count of P1 Incidents that are opened in the last 30 days and whose priority value is 'CRITICAL'.
- Impacted Days: Displays the total number of days in the last 30 days on which major Incidents occurred.
- Impact Ratio: Displays the ratio of number of impacted days as compared to the last 30 days.
Risk Factors: Displays a list of preconfigured risk factors that help you understand risks that can lead to potential major Incidents. For every risk factor, you can view the number of Incidents across CI instances and the percentage occurrence rate of major Incidents.
- Day of Week: Displays the number of Incidents raised on each day of the week across CIs. The values are categorized based on the days of a week.
- Non-Major Incidents Last 7 Days: Displays the number of non-major or minor Incidents that were raised in the last 7 days.
- Upcoming Changes: Displays the number of Change Requests whose planned start date is within the next 7 days.
- Days Since Last Major Incident: Displays the number of days since a major Incident was last raised.
- Monitoring Incidents Last 7 Days: Displays the number of auto-generated Incidents were raised in the last 7 days.
- Changes Implemented Last 7 Days: Displays the number of Change Requests that were implemented whose actual end date is within the last 7 days.
- Current Outstanding Problems: Displays the total number of open Problems across CIs as of the current date.
The values for these risk factors are categorized into preconfigured buckets and can be customized based on your requirements.
Recommendations: Displays recommendations about top outliers that can help you take suitable actions to mitigate potential risks. For example, if the major Incident occurrence rate is high on a given day of the week, you can investigate further and be prepared to prevent future major Incidents.

Note: The thresholds defined for KPIs in this dashboard can be configured according to your business needs.
