Change Impact Hotspots dashboard

The Change Impact Hotspots dashboard enables you to view different areas of hotspots from the operational, execution, performance, and impact of the change perspective. The hotspots across Configuration Items (CI), CI Class, CI Location, and Assignment Groups enable you to get insights where the changes have had the most impact.

You can also drill down to each of these hotspots to view more details about the associated Change impact.

This dashboard can help Executive Leaders derive insights in the following business scenario such as to review the recommendations provided for top outliers and take corrective actions to mitigate the risks

You can use the filters in the dashboard to analyze data related to a specific Executive Leader.

The Change Impact Hotspots dashboard consists of the following sections:

• KPIs:
  • Changes That Impacted: Displays the total number of changes that are impacted in the last 30 days.
  • CI Hotspots: Displays the total number of CIs that are identified as Hotspots. A CI is considered to be a hotspot when the growth rate of Major Incidents in the last 30 days is 20% greater than the month prior to last 30 days.
  • Growth Rate: Displays the percentage of the growth rate of CI hotspots in the last 30 days as compared to the month prior to 30 last days.
• Recommendations and Researching: This section provides recommendations & possible actions to take to mitigate potential risks caused by the top outliers. For example, if the Change Impact Growth rate for a particular CI is at 200%, you can investigate to understand problem areas related to the CI and take measures to avoid CI hotspots in the future.
• Primary CI Class Hotspots: Displays heat maps for the total number of Primary CI class hotspots in the last 30 days.
  This section drives the data in the remaining hotspot sections, in the following order - Primary CI Class Hotspots > Primary CI Location Hotspots > Primary CI Hotspots > Assignment Group Hotspots. For example, you can click on a specific CI Class to filter and display only data associated with the selected Primary CI Class. A darker color in the heat maps indicates the higher growth rate and a lighter color indicates a lesser growth rate.
• Primary CI Location Hotspots: Displays heat maps where the Primary CI hotspots are located.
• Primary CI Hotspots: Displays heat maps for Primary CI hotspots in the last 30 days.
• Assignment Group Hotspots: Displays heat maps of the Assignment groups to which the hotspots are associated.
